Can't sleep. I had a phone call from mum about an hour ago letting me know that Uncle Noel has passed away.
This will be a sad time for his family and loved ones who have had to watch him suffer for the last little while. I suppose it may be a time for relief to know that he is not in pain any longer.
Uncle Noel and Aunty Jenny have just celebrated the first birthday of their first grandchild. They now have two. They have waited many years to become grandparents. Before their own grandchildren came along, they would dote on the bystanders. They'd come to visit Luke when he was in hospital, and Uncle Noel had a picture of them in his work space. I always felt they treasured the bystanders and they were lucky to feel of such warmth and love.
You will be missed.
